As Lead Designer and mentor at Sampann, I played a crucial role in shaping the user experience (UX) and visual identity (UI) of this innovative healthcare app.  This case study will delve into my contributions in the following areas:

Product Ideation:

The initial concept for Sampann emerged from a collaborative brainstorming session. I facilitated discussions, identified user pain points, and explored potential solutions. My focus was on creating an app that went beyond traditional medication management, emphasizing holistic wellness and empowering users with chronic conditions.

Design Strategy & Mentorship:

I spearheaded the development of a comprehensive design strategy. This included defining user personas, outlining user journeys, and establishing clear information architecture. I also mentored junior designers, fostering their creativity and ensuring their designs adhered to the overall strategy.

Design Guidelines & Design System:

To ensure design consistency and scalability, I established comprehensive design guidelines. These guidelines covered typography, color palettes, iconography, and UI elements. Furthermore, I championed the creation of a robust design system, providing designers with reusable components and code snippets to expedite development.

Hiring & Team Leadership:

Building a talented design team was crucial. I played a key role in the hiring process, assessing candidates' design skills, understanding of healthcare UX, and their ability to collaborate effectively. Once the team was assembled, I fostered a supportive and collaborative environment, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing.

One of the biggest challenges was ensuring the app was accessible and user-friendly for individuals with varying levels of tech-savviness and chronic health conditions. To address this, I advocated for a clean, intuitive interface with clear navigation and simple language.

Sampann's user-centric design has garnered positive feedback, with users appreciating its ease of use, motivational features, and integration of alternative health practices alongside traditional medicine.  The design system streamlines development, allowing the team to quickly iterate and implement new features based on user feedback.

This project exemplifies the importance of strong leadership and collaboration in design thinking.
